Triassic Beach & Water Games

After an exciting expedition – especially on hot summer’s days – it’s time to cool off:
At Triassic Beach and the Water games, you and your new prehistoric explorer friends can splash about, play, go down the slides or simply relax. A creatively designed relaxation area featuring sand, water, wood, rocks and magnificent views turns a break here into a real mountain experience. Numerous water features and a Kneipp path invite you to linger – walking barefoot through the cool water, balancing on stones, building sandcastles, going on a raft ride or simply enjoying the sun whilst the children let their imaginations run wild.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

• the highest sandy beach in the Alps with panoramic views
• over 4,700 m² of space for splashing about, playing and exploring
• water features, ponds and Kneipp areas covering over 1,400 m²
• shaded relaxation areas
• three varied play areas with a raft, gemstones, slides, a watercourse and more

Our tip: If it’s warm, bring your swimwear or a change of clothes. If anything does get wet, there’s a tumble dryer at the Triassic Centre.

In the front section of Triassic Beach, you’ll find yourselves right in the middle of a mini primeval sea. Children can pull themselves across the water on little rafts, free fossils from the rock face or dig up entire dinosaur skeletons in the sand. Here, they can dig, hammer away and explore – ideal for all little prehistoric explorers who love getting their hands dirty whilst learning through play.

At the water play area at the back, it’s all about gemstones, sliding fun and first climbing adventures. Whilst panning for gemstones, children wash the sand to find gemstones and are delighted by their sparkling finds, which they can take home with them. Right next to it, there are dinosaur slides and a mini climbing wall where the little ones can practise safely. All around this area, parents will find plenty of places to sit, watch and relax – so you can keep a close eye on your children whilst enjoying the mountain air.

In the lower part of Triassic Beach, you follow a watercourse offering plenty of opportunities for play. Children can build weirs, divert the water, balance on stones, try out spades and water wheels, and watch as the water finds its own way. Here, every action becomes a new little experiment – perfect for splashing about barefoot on warm summer’s days, playing and making the most of your time on the highest sandy beach in the Alps.
