The towns of Fieberbrunn, St. Ulrich am Pillersee, Waidring, Hochfilzen, and St. Jakob in Haus are idyllically nestled in the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps in the beautiful Pillerseetal valley. At altitudes ranging from about 800 to 1,000 meters, they offer an impressive natural backdrop in the summer with extensive hiking and biking trails, crystal-clear lakes, and alpine pastures with stunning views. In winter, the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn ski area, as well as the Steinplatte Waidring and the Pillersee Mountain Railway, ensure first-class fun on the slopes. Throughout the year, visitors can enjoy a variety of events, numerous recreational activities, and attractive destinations for the whole family.

Reit im Winkl Tourism Association (Chiemgau Tourism)
Many of you spend your vacations in Reit im Winkl in the Chiemgau region—and consider the Steinplatte “your” mountain, both in summer and winter. In the summer, you can set out from Reit im Winkl on scenic hikes, bike rides, and leisurely tours up to the Steinplatte; in the winter, well-known cross-country ski trails, winter hiking trails, and the entrance to the Steinplatte/Winklmoosalm ski area are right nearby. This way, you can combine your vacation in Bavaria with mountain experiences on the Steinplatte in Tyrol.
